Employment & Training Services
Club Goodwill
This service is a partnership with Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority (LCMHA) that focuses on individuals improving their skills and abilities through involvement in community based experience.
Training Centers
Located in the Cities of Monroe and Lambertville, the Training Centers incorporate many of the services listed above including community inclusion and basic skill development, employment services, skill building, vocational training and training services. The Monroe and Lambertville Training Center work closely with the Monroe Community Mental Health Authority (MCMHA), Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) and the Monroe County Intermediate School District with a common goal of providing exceptional opportunities for people facing a range of personal barriers.
Vocational Training
Working with the Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD) and Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS), this service focuses on developing soft skills through involvement in trial work experiences for those just entering the workforce.
Micro-Enterprise
Goodwill's Micro-enterprise program is called Art Works. This growing program provides a safe, positive and creative art studio that focuses on the individual's abilities to explore the expressive and creative talents through entrepreneurship. Current locations are in the Gallery of Shops in Adrian, MI, Tecusmeh, and in Lambertville, MI. The Goodwill Bookstore in Temperance also hosts a collection of our artist's works!

Refurbishing Goodwill
In early 2017, this service started with the idea of teaching refurbishing skills to individuals with barriers and to reduce the number of pieces to be discarded. This program has exceeded expectations and is developing into a program teaching individuals safety training, assembly skills as well as basic skills to properly clean and refurbish furniture.
Youth Start
Goodwill Industries is committed to working with homeless/at-risk youth. Youth start is a program that is aimed at preventing vulnerable youth from becoming adults in our community that are unable to meet their basic needs and dropping out of school. Since its inception in 2009, 99% of homeless youth served have graduated from high school. Youth start applies a holistic approach that incorporates real paid work experiences, close collaboration with school personnel, and intensive coaching to increase the potential that youth graduate high school, seek post-secondary credentialing and continuing education while acquiring the tools and knowledge to achieve financial stability as adults.Youth Start is a partner in a larger coalition in Lenawee County looking to address a massive problem.
Employment Training Services
This service focuses on placement of individuals with barriers into jobs within the community. It involves the cultivation of potential employers and the matching of individuals to those employers.
Skill building is offered in coordination with Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority (LCMHA), Employment training services focus on teaching the job and self sufficiency skills to individuals with barriers. The goal is to eventually transition these participants to external employers.
External employers provide opportunities for individuals facing barriers to employment through Goodwill, by allowing Goodwill skills trainers to work one on one with the individual for additional training.
Such employers include Country Market, Project Search through ProMedica, Walgreens, Chartwells Dining Hall at Sienna Heights College, Ritchie Dining Hall at Adrian College and many others.

Community Partnership Opportunity
Books and Literacy
Goodwill is a strong supporter of literacy programs and currently collaborates with Great Start for special events and the AM Rotary Little Libraries in Lenawee County.
Industrial Contracts
Utilizing an integrated staff of employees and program participants, Goodwill assists businesses to meet production goals and trains potential future employees in the intricacies of product assembly.

Wipers
Goodwill provides businesses with rags for polishing, cleaning, drying, etc. by cutting up materials that are a little too worn to be sold.
Industrial Services
Secure Shred
Goodwill provides secure shredding services to local area businesses. Secure bins are provided to businesses to fill with documents for shredding. Goodwill delivers empty bins and picks up the full bins.

Recycling Service

Goodwill has recycling programs for paper!
- Secure Shred is a document destruction recycling service. We offer services for every size business. We offer one time and ongoing pickup service. For more information reach out to our sustainability manager, Joe Michalec at [email protected]
- Drop off paper for shredding at our Headquarters Donation Center located at 1357 Division St. in Adrian, MI. The first 50lbs. are FREE. Any additional shred is only $0.35/lb.
Goodwill also recycles cardboard, e-waste, metal and glass.
- Cardboard can be dropped off at any donation center
- E-waste can be dropped off at any donation center: We accept old printers, monitors, phones, tablets, TV's and more
- CRT Tube Monitors can only be dropped off at our Headquarters Donation Center located at 1357 Division St. in Adrian, MI. There are fees for accepting these types of monitors starting at $35. For more information call headquarters at (517)263-2135
- Metal and glass can be dropped of at any donation center.
Salvage
Donations that don’t sell in our stores are sold to jobbers that typically ship these items overseas to be sold so they can continue to be utilized for their original purpose.
